Responsibilities –

Perform the evaluations

  • Meet with patients during their first visit to identify their needs;
  • Answer their questions and explain to them the different options available for their concerns;
  • Consolidate recommendations as directed by the physician, explain treatments and possible complications.

Assist the doctor during the treatment

  • Provide medical assistance for the various surgical techniques;
  • Review the patient's needs;
  • Prepare the required instruments, equipment or supplies;
  • Understand and be capable of sterilizing equipment.
  • Prep the patient's skin;
  • Be able to work in a surgical suite.
  • Provide support to the patient before, during and after treatment;
  • Keep clinical notes up to date, in a precise and detailed manner in the client's file;
  • Supervise the patient by suggesting complementary treatments appropriate to his condition according to those in progress.

Prepare and ensure the cleanliness of the room and the required equipment for the treatment

  • Prepare treatment rooms;
  • Clean the rooms between each procedure;
  • Take an inventory of medical products and supplies and keep an adequate stock in the rooms.

Manage the schedule

  • Daily review of the schedule;
  • Manage the appointments, respecting order of arrival and timeline;
  • Manage delays and keep patients and provider informed;
  • Update the Doctor on the days schedule.

Telephone follow-up post assessment and/or treatment

  • Return calls daily and respond to patients' questions and/or concerns.
  • Follow-up on evaluations, treatments and to review certain post treatment protocols.

Provide medical and post-treatment care

  • If necessary, you will be called upon to provide post-surgery care.
  • You act as the resource person for other technicians.

Qualifications –

  • Medical Aesthetic certificate or diploma.
  • Nursing degree would be an asset.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a similar role in the medical or medical aesthetics field.
  • Competence in Medical charting (SOAP)
  • Desire and ability to continuously improve one's knowledge;
  • Sales-oriented essential;
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Working knowledge of computers;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
