Treatment and Technology

Woman who has used a Rosacea treatment

Fotona 4D is a combination laser treatment that uses 4 unique laser modes: Smoothliftin, Piano, Frac3, and SupERficial. These laser treatments work together to target your concerns and can be customized based on your skin’s composition. The 4D approach stimulates full-thickness contraction of collagen, adding volume and reducing wrinkles for a rejuvenated and younger look.

This treatment is suitable for fair, medium and dark skin tones.

Smoothliftin

A pulse of laser light, known as Smooth Mode, is delivered by the Smoothliftin laser at low enough speeds to safely be performed inside the mouth. The beam is aimed at the mucosa membrane inside the mouth to target the underlying tissues of the inner cheeks. The controlled thermal effect produces a wound-healing response and the stimulation of collagen remodeling.

The treatment has also proven effective for mild to moderate perioral wrinkles, better known as lip lines.

Piano

Piano causes bulk tissue heating by concentrating the energy delivery subcutaneously. It uses a unique super-extended seconds pulse and a brushing technique to complete a full-thickness bulk heating to the dermis while sparing unnecessary thermal damage to the epidermis. It is also indicated for the promotion of wound healing and scar prevention.

Frac3

What makes Frac3 unique is that it creates a self-induced 3-D fractional effect, which is localized to pre-existing skin damage. A Frac3 beam is whole upon delivery to the skin and is fractionated by the skin’s imperfections as it proceeds toward the subcutaneous tissue. As a result, the tissue is treated only where required.

SuperERficial is a light laser peel that uses the versatile Foton Erbium Yag laser. The device is calibrated to various pulse durations and precisely controls the amount of heat applied. As part 4 of the of Fotona’s 4D treatment, we set the laser to use Fotona’s proprietary Very Short Pulse mode.

Before and After Results

You’ll meet with our expert treatment providers, who will assess your skin and goals and, in turn, create a personalized treatment plan.

Before your appointment, we take baseline photography of the area to highlight your skin’s progress over time.

Fotona 4D uses a combination of laser wavelengths throughout the treatment area to effectively address various concerns. You may experience a warming sensation, which is generally well-tolerated.

Once your appointment is complete, you can return to your activities as normal. However, your skin may appear flushed and red for up to 30 minutes post-treatment.
