Dr. Vanessa Van der Merwe

Dr. Vanessa Van der Merwe graduated in 2000 from the Medical School at The University of Pretoria in South Africa. Moving to Saskatoon in 2006 after working in La Ronge and Northern communities of Saskatchewan, she continued her work as the Hospitalist in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation ward at SCH. She then joined the Geriatric Evaluation and Assessment Team for the following five years, and has been working as a Surgical Assist for the last three years. Vanessa has made the move to Aesthetic Medicine with joining our Dermapure team in 2021. She has completed the Advanced Certification in Aesthetic Medicine through Healthcert and is currently enrolled in a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine.

Dr. Van der Merwe comes to Dermapure with a philosophy of helping patients of all ages and stages of life reach their individual goals while keeping a natural look. She applies her motto of “less is more” to her practice. Vanessa has always had a passion for health, nutrition, and women’s health and likes helping all find their beauty from within and out!
