The non-ablative Fotona gynaecological lasers IntimaLase®, IncontiLase®, RenovaLase® and ProlapLase® mainly use the non-invasive Er:YAG technology.
Through controlled and gentle heating, the laser initiates the tightening of collagen fibers, to stimulate the production of new collagen and to improve blood circulation and the functioning of nerve cells. This innovative technology is specifically designed to treat gynaecological disorders such as vaginal mucosal atrophy, vaginal laxity and urinary incontinence.
An assessment of each patient’s unique needs and expectations is the first essential step in treatment. This meeting with a member of our medical team allows us to establish the appropriate personalized treatment plan that will address each concern.
A safe and painless procedure, the Fotona gynaecological laser treatment lasts only 15 minutes. An anaesthetic cream is applied at the vulvar level to reduce the discomfort of the procedure, then the special speculum is inserted at the vaginal level through which the laser probe directly targets the tissues to be treated.

For long-lasting results, 2 to 4 sessions are recommended. Then, a session every 12 to 18 months will help to maintain lasting results. Optimal results will be felt about 6 months after treatment.
Gynaecological Fotona treatment is contraindicated in the presence of urinary tract infection or genitalia and untreated cancer cells in the genital area. Pregnant women cannot receive this treatment, but it is allowed for breastfeeding women. For women undergoing chemotherapy treatments, it is mandatory to wait until the end of the treatment.
