TruSculpt Duncan

TruSculpt Flex is a non-invasive body contouring technology that uses targeted electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to trigger deep muscle contractions across areas such as the abdomen, glutes, thighs, arms and calves. It is a needle-free, device-based approach with results that vary from one patient to another.

Because every patient's body, goals and medical history are different, TruSculpt Flex at our Dermapure Cowichan clinic always begins with a personalized consultation with a physician or healthcare professional. Together, you will discuss the areas you would like to treat, what a realistic treatment plan could look like and the possible side effects, which will be reviewed in detail during your consultation, keeping in mind that results vary from one patient to another. CoolSculpting and TruSculpt Flex: A Powerful Duo

At Dermapure, our body contouring treatments, CoolSculpting and TruSculpt Flex, can be combined to achieve optimal results. Alternating between these treatments, with rest periods in between sessions, allows for the maximum elimination of fat and enhanced muscle toning. The number of sessions and program duration are tailored to each individual’s goals and needs. At Dermapure, we focus on the complementary strengths of these two methods to provide a holistic approach, ensuring long-lasting and effective results.

What to Expect During Your Session

Step 1
Personalized Assessment
During your consultation, a specialist will assess your current muscle tone and fitness level, discuss your body sculpting goals, and create a customized treatment plan. This ensures that the treatment is tailored to your needs, whether you’re looking to enhance muscle definition or strengthen weak areas.
Step 2
Preparation and Pictures
Pictures of the target areas are taken before the procedure to provide a clear “Before” baseline. These will help track progress and allow you to compare the final results with your initial condition.
Step 3
Treatment Session
The truSculpt Flex device uses small electrodes placed on the skin over the target muscles. These electrodes emit electrical pulses to stimulate intense muscle contractions. A typical session lasts 45 minutes, during which time multiple muscle groups can be treated simultaneously. The three modes—Prep (warming up the muscles), Tone (deep contractions), and Sculpt (maximizing muscle definition)—are tailored for each patient's unique needs.
Step 4
Post-Treatment Care
One of the advantages of truSculpt Flex is the minimal downtime. You can return to normal activities immediately after the treatment. However, it's recommended to avoid intense physical activity for the first 24 hours after the procedure to allow muscles to recover.

Follow-Up & Maintenance

For optimal results, a series of 4-6 treatments is generally recommended, spaced over several weeks. The results are often noticeable after just a few sessions, but for best long-term results, maintenance sessions every 6-12 months are advised. The intensity of treatment and number of sessions can be reduced over time as muscle tone improves.

Contraindications

This treatment should be postponed if you have open wounds, rashes, or active skin conditions in the target area. Pregnant or nursing women should consult their physician before considering the procedure. Patients with metal implants or certain medical conditions (such as pacemakers) should avoid this treatment, as the electrical stimulation could interfere with these devices.
