Peels
Refreshing your skin's tone, texture and radiance
A peel is a professional in-clinic treatment that exfoliates the skin to reveal a fresher, smoother and more even complexion. At Dermapure, peels range from gentle chemical exfoliation to peels performed with a device, and each one can be tailored to your skin type, your concerns and your goals. As part of our Triangle of Care, a peel is often planned alongside injectables and energy-based treatments within a coordinated plan: because each modality works on a different aspect of the skin, combining them helps treat your skin as a whole and supports healthier, more resilient skin over the long term. Every peel begins with a personalized consultation with our team to assess the most appropriate option for you, the expected results and the possible side effects.
Device-Free Treatments
These peels rely on active exfoliating acids rather than a device. Known as chemical peels, they use acids such as glycolic, salicylic, lactic or trichloroacetic acid to dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells, so the dull surface layer can shed and reveal healthier-looking skin underneath. The type of acid and the depth are tailored to your skin and your goals.
Chemical Peels
Not all peels work at the same level. Chemical peels are grouped by how deeply they exfoliate, and your specialist recommends the right depth based on your skin type, your concerns and how much recovery time suits your routine.
Light Peels
Light, or superficial, peels work on the outermost layer of the skin. Using gentle acids such as lactic, low-strength glycolic or salicylic acid, they brighten the complexion, refine the look of pores and smooth texture, with little to no downtime. They are an ideal first step into professional exfoliation and can be repeated regularly, often between seasons to help the skin adjust.
Medium Peels
Medium-depth peels work through the full epidermis and into the upper layer of the dermis. They address more established concerns such as sun damage, uneven tone, acne scars and fine lines, and usually involve a few days of light flaking or dryness. They are often used in a corrective series and pair well with other treatments within a broader plan.
Deep Peels
Deep peels reach the deeper layers of the skin and are the most intensive form of chemical exfoliation. They target more advanced signs of aging and texture concerns, and involve more recovery time and careful aftercare. Because they are stronger, they are performed under close supervision and are not suitable for everyone; your specialist will confirm whether this option is appropriate for your skin.
Device-Assisted Peels
Some peels and resurfacing treatments are performed with a device rather than with chemical acids. These technology-based options exfoliate, renew and refresh the skin using laser energy or pressurized jet systems, and are selected based on your skin and your goals.
Device-Assisted Treatments
Glow Facial
The Glow Facial is Dermapure's signature JetPeel treatment. It uses high-velocity jet streams of oxygen and liquid micro-droplets to gently exfoliate dead cells and infuse active ingredients into the skin, without needles, for instant radiance and hydration with no downtime.
Regenerative Facial
The Regenerative Facial uses JetPeel technology to deliver plant-based exosomes across the skin while gently exfoliating. Comfortable and non-invasive, it supports the skin's natural renewal process and is well suited to skin that feels tired, dull or less firm.
Glass Skin Facial
The Glass Skin Facial combines JetPeel exfoliation and the infusion of plant-based exosomes with a series of superficial micro-injections. It is designed to refine texture and support smooth, radiant, even-looking skin, and is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
Carbon Laser Peel
The Carbon Laser Peel, sometimes called the Hollywood Peel, pairs a carbon-based lotion with laser energy. The carbon is applied to the skin and then targeted with the laser to exfoliate, refine the look of pores and support a clearer, more radiant complexion. This non-invasive treatment is often chosen for dull or oily skin, uneven tone and enlarged-looking pores.
Scalp Revive
Scalp Revive applies the same JetPeel approach to the scalp, delivering plant-based exosomes while gently exfoliating and supporting circulation. It is designed to revitalize the scalp and support the look of healthier, denser hair from the root.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a peel painful, and is there downtime?
Most peels involve little discomfort, often described as a mild tingling or warmth during the treatment. Downtime varies with the type and depth: light and jet-based peels usually have little to no recovery, while medium and deeper peels can involve a few days of redness, dryness or light flaking. Your specialist will explain what to expect for the option chosen and how to care for your skin afterward.
How often should I get a peel?
It depends on your skin and your goals. Lighter peels can be repeated every few weeks for radiance or maintenance, often between seasons, while medium peels are typically done in a series spaced a few weeks apart. Deeper or more intensive treatments are performed less frequently. Your specialist will build a personalized plan with you.
Which skin types are peels suitable for, including darker, sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Peels can be adapted to a wide range of skin types and tones, including sensitive and acne-prone skin. For richer or darker skin tones, gentler, more superficial peels are often preferred, as deeper treatments carry a higher risk of pigmentation changes such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation; targeted options like the MeLine Peel are designed with pigment-prone skin in mind. Your specialist will assess your skin type, sensitivity and history to recommend the most appropriate and safest option, and will review contraindications such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin infections or recent isotretinoin use.
Can a peel be combined with other treatments?
Yes. A peel can be planned alongside other in-clinic treatments such as microneedling, lasers and medical-grade skincare within a broader treatment plan. Because the skin is especially receptive right after a peel, an exosome therapy add-on applied in clinic may also be considered to support recovery and results. Your specialist will determine which combinations are appropriate for your skin and goals.
