Achieving a Youthful Glow
Offered at your clinic

Fotona 4D Dieppe

Fotona 4D is a non-invasive laser treatment that combines 4 unique laser modes: SmoothLiftin mode, FRAC3 mode, Piano mode, and SupErficial mode.

These laser modes work together to address multiple skin concerns, stimulating full-thickness contraction of collagen. This helps add volume, reduce wrinkles, and restore a more youthful texture and glow to the skin, giving it a rejuvenated, younger appearance.

This aesthetic treatment is suitable for all skin tones, including fair, medium, and dark skin.

The Four Treatment Modes of Fotona 4D

1D Step 1: SmoothLiftin Intra-Buccal

A pulse of laser energy, known as Smooth Mode, is delivered by the Smoothliftin laser at controlled speeds to safely target the mucosa membrane inside the oral cavity. The beam focuses on the underlying tissues of the inner cheeks, producing a controlled thermal effect. This effect stimulates a wound-healing response and promotes collagen remodeling, initiating a tightening process that contributes to skin rejuvenation.

The innovative treatment has also proven effective for mild to moderate perioral wrinkles, better known as lip lines.

2D Step 2: Rejuvenation with FRAC3

What makes FRAC3 unique is that it creates a self-induced 3-D fractional effect, which is localized to pre-existing skin damage. The FRAC3 beam is whole upon delivery to the skin and is fractionated by the skin’s imperfections as it penetrates deeper layers toward the subcutaneous tissue. As a result, deeper imperfections are targeted, and the tissue is treated only where required.

3D Step 3: PIANO Laser Skin Tightening

Piano causes bulk tissue heating by concentrating the energy delivery subcutaneously. It uses a unique super-extended pulse and a brushing technique to achieve full-thickness heating of the dermis while minimizing thermal damage to the epidermis. The deep heating effect of Piano mode stimulates the production of collagen, enhancing skin firmness and elasticity. Additionally, Piano is indicated for promoting wound healing process and preventing scar formation.

4D Step 4: SupErficial Light Peel

The SuperERficial treatment is a light laser peel that utilizes the Fotona Erbium YAG laser to gently remove dead skin cells and improve skin texture. The laser is calibrated with various pulse durations to precisely control the amount of heat applied. As the fourth step in Fotona’s 4D treatment, it employs Fotona’s innovative Very Short Pulse mode to enhance skin resurfacing, revealing a fresher and smoother complexion.

What to Expect During Your Session

Step 1
Personalized Assessment
During your initial consultation, you’ll meet with our expert treatment providers who will thoroughly assess your skin and discuss your aesthetic goals. Based on this assessment, they will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. This individualized approach ensures that the Fotona 4D laser treatment is optimized to achieve the best possible results for your unique skin type and concerns.
Step 2
Take Pictures
Before your appointment, we take baseline photographs of the treatment area to document your skin's condition. These images serve as a reference point to highlight and track your progress throughout the treatment process, allowing us to better evaluate the effectiveness of the Fotona 4D treatment and the improvements in your skin over time.
Step 3
Begin Treatment
Fotona 4D uses a combination of laser wavelengths throughout the treatment area to effectively address various concerns. You may experience a warming sensation, which is generally well-tolerated.
Step 4
After Treatment
Once your Fotona 4D appointment is complete, you can resume your normal activities right away, thanks to the minimal downtime associated with the procedure. However, it's normal to experience some flushing and redness in the treated area, which typically subsides within 30 minutes. This post-treatment effect is a temporary response as your skin begins to heal and rejuvenate.

Follow-Up & Maintenance

With Fotona 4D treatment, patients generally need 3 to 5 separate appointments, which are spread out over 6 to 12 months. Our expert treatment providers will determine how many treatments you may need during your assessment.

Contraindications

Fotona 4D is not recommended for those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have metal implants in the face. Individuals who have recently taken Accutane, used steroids, or certain herbs like St. John’s Wort, or had significant sun exposure should wait before undergoing the procedure. Additionally, conditions such as blood-clotting disorders, certain autoimmune diseases, and active skin infections may require postponing treatment.
