Plasma Edmonton
Plasma fibroblast therapy is a non-surgical skin-tightening treatment offered at our Dermapure clinics in Edmonton. It uses a specialized plasma pen to deliver precise micro-impulses just above the skin surface, creating controlled micro-lesions that activate fibroblast cells and the body’s natural tissue regeneration response.
Plasma fibroblast therapy can support areas of mild to moderate skin laxity, including the eye contour (upper and lower eyelids), the forehead, around the lips, the under-eye area, the cheeks, the neck, the abdomen, the thighs, the arms and the knees. It may be used on its own as a focused tightening protocol, or paired with complementary in-clinic options such as exosome therapy, other skin renewal technologies or medical-grade skincare protocols to support recovery and overall skin quality.
Because every patient’s skin, concerns and medical history are different, plasma fibroblast therapy at our Dermapure clinics in Edmonton always begins with a personalized consultation. Together with your specialist, you will assess whether plasma fibroblast therapy is the most appropriate option for you and discuss a realistic treatment plan, the expected results and the possible side effects. Healing and aftercare
Mild swelling and redness are common for the first 2–3 days. Carbon crusts will form and fall off naturally within 7 to 10 days. During this time, avoid sun, makeup, and harsh products. Once healed, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily to protect your results.
Our team will guide you through each step, from cleansing to when you can safely resume your normal skin routines. Following your aftercare instructions helps reduce risks like mild hyperpigmentation and ensures a smoother recovery.
Follow-Up & Maintenance
To protect your results, avoid sun exposure for at least 4 to 6 weeks after treatment. Depending on your skin and treatment goals, 2 to 3 sessions may be suggested, spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart. For lasting results, maintenance treatments every six months are often advised.
Contraindications
This nonsurgical treatment is not suitable for everyone. It is not recommended for:
- Pregnant women
- People with heart conditions
- Individuals with Fitzpatrick skin types IV to VI
- Those with active herpes, shingles, or chronic skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, vitiligo)
- Anyone with a history of keloid scars or hypertrophic scarring
A consultation allows our medical team to ensure your skin is ready and that the treatment is safe and appropriate for your health condition.
