Dermaplaning Kelowna
Dermaplaning offered at our Dermapure clinics in Kelowna is a gentle exfoliation technique that uses a sterile surgical blade to remove dead surface cells and fine facial hair. By smoothing the top layer of the skin, it refines texture and leaves the complexion looking instantly brighter. It is usually performed on the face, with the neck treatable in the same session.
Dermaplaning is most often considered by patients who would like smoother, more luminous-looking skin, better absorption of their skincare and a more even surface for makeup. What distinguishes it is that it requires no downtime and is often added before another treatment to prepare the skin. It is well suited to most skin types, though it is not recommended for very oily skin or active acne breakouts.
Because every patient’s skin is different, dermaplaning at our Dermapure clinics in Kelowna begins with a skin assessment to tailor the protocol to your needs. Together with our team, you will discuss the recommended approach, what to expect and any precautions to keep in mind. Book your appointment with our team in Kelowna.

Follow-Up & Maintenance
While the skin is generally brighter immediately after a dermaplaning session, the effects are optimal after a series of treatments at 4-to-6-week intervals. The exfoliation achieved with dermaplaning allows products to better penetrate the skin, which increases their effectiveness making it an ideal option to prepare the skin to receive another treatment. Dermaplaning can be combined with many of the treatments available at Dermapure and is recommended, for example, before a SkinCeuticals Facial or photorejuvenation. Ask your consultant about the ideal combination for your skin.
Contraindications
Patients with active acne outbreaks, extremely oily skin or solar erythema should not receive this treatment.
