Ulthera Kelowna
Ultherapy is a non-invasive skin tightening treatment offered at our Dermapure clinics in Kelowna. It uses High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) to deliver targeted energy beneath the surface of the skin, supporting the body’s natural collagen production at depths that traditional skincare cannot reach.
Ultherapy is most often considered by patients who would like to address mild to moderate skin laxity on the face and neck, including the brow, the jawline, under the chin and the décolleté. The treatment is typically completed in a single session and can be received on its own or planned alongside other in-clinic treatments such as injectable treatments, other skin renewal technologies or medical-grade skincare protocols within a broader treatment plan, depending on individual goals and skin condition.
Because every patient’s skin, concerns and medical history are different, Ultherapy at our Dermapure clinics in Kelowna always begins with a personalized consultation. Together with your specialist, you will assess whether Ultherapy is the most appropriate option for you and discuss a realistic treatment plan, the expected results and the possible side effects. Follow-Up & Maintenance
We recommend that an Ulthera treatment be repeated every two years. In addition to strengthening the subcutaneous anchor points, scientific studies show considerable thickening of the skin in the areas treated with micro-focused ultrasonic energy, thereby reversing the natural thinning of the epidermis associated with aging. Ulthera can be alternated with Thermage—Ulthera is a corrective treatment, while Thermage is a preventive treatment. Also, it is highly recommended to perform 4 treatments of Venus Freeze/Venus Legacy per year to maximize the effects of the radiofrequency therapy throughout the year and thus to continuously stimulate the production of superficial collagen. Once the desired effects are achieved, the results will last so long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Contraindications
Women who are pregnant or nursing should postpone this procedure.
