AviClear Pointe-Claire
AviClear is a laser treatment for acne that uses a targeted wavelength of light to reach the skin’s sebaceous (oil) glands, which play a central role in how breakouts form. It is typically delivered over a series of sessions.
Because every patient’s skin, concerns and medical history are different, AviClear at our Dermapure Pointe-Claire clinic always begins with a personalized consultation. Together with your specialist, you will assess whether AviClear is the most appropriate option for your skin and discuss a realistic treatment plan, the expected results and the possible side effects. Follow-Up & Maintenance
Three sessions, four weeks apart, are generally recommended. Results are long-lasting and additional treatments are rarely needed. In clinical studies, 80% of participants saw their acne decrease at least by half. 87% of participants were satisfied or very satisfied with the results one month after the last treatment.
Contraindications
AviClear is contraindicated in pregnant women or in patients with skin cancer. Special precautions should also be taken in nursing mothers. Patients taking prescription medications such as Accutane may need to defer treatment. Each case is evaluated individually by a Dermapure physician.
