Botox Toronto

Botox is one of the brand names of neuromodulator injections used in aesthetic medicine, with botulinum toxin type A as its active ingredient. As a prescription medication, Botox is administered in clinic by a physician or healthcare professional at our Dermapure clinics in Toronto.

Botox is delivered through a personalized plan built individually for each patient, with the protocol adjusted at each visit by the treating physician or healthcare professional. The number of sessions, the interval between visits and the way the plan evolves over time vary based on the patient's profile, goals and medical history. The effect of Botox is temporary, and personalized plans are typically built around a few sessions per year, with realistic expectations discussed during the consultation.

Because every patient's profile, goals and medical history are different, Botox at our Dermapure clinics in Toronto always begins with a personalized consultation with a physician or healthcare professional who reviews what Botox is designed to address. Together, you will assess whether it is the most appropriate option for you and discuss what a realistic treatment plan could look like, the expected results and the possible side effects. What to Expect During Your Session

Step 1
Personalized Assessment
A personalized assessment is essential to help our clinicians understand your needs. During this consultation, we’ll evaluate factors like skin quality and medical conditions, age, and genetics. Your physician or nurse will also discuss your expectations and goals to better align the aesthetic treatment with your priorities.
Step 2
Before & After Photos
Before-and-after photos are valuable for visualizing the effects of your injections. These photos will be part of your patient profile and can serve as a reference when discussing your goals.
Step 3
Proceed with Injections
Your physician or specialized nurse will administer injections of botulinum toxin based on your unique structure. Contact your clinic to learn more about this cosmetic procedure.
Step 4
Resume Normal Activities
Following the treatment, you can immediately return to your regular activities. While downtime is not needed, you may experience mild redness, bruising, or swelling temporarily.

Follow-Up & Maintenance

Depending on your unique needs and goals, we recommend follow-up Botulinum toxin injections every 3 to 6 months. Over time, regular treatments may reduce the frequency and amount of product required to achieve your desired results.

Contraindications

We do not offer Botulinum toxin injections to individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding and individuals with certain neuromuscular disorders. One week before your Botulinum toxin injections, we recommend avoiding aspirin or any other medications containing aspirin.
