Cryotherapy Vancouver

Cryotherapy is a non-invasive in-clinic treatment offered at our Dermapure clinics in Vancouver. It uses controlled freezing technology to target and remove superficial skin lesions, applying liquid nitrogen or a cryoprobe directly to the area while preserving the surrounding tissue.

Cryotherapy can address sunspots (solar lentigines), benign moles, actinic keratosis, skin tags and selected superficial vascular lesions, on areas of the face and body. The treatment is generally well tolerated, performed in short sessions, and may be received on its own or planned alongside complementary in-clinic options as part of a broader skin assessment.

Because every patient’s skin, concerns and medical history are different, cryotherapy at our Dermapure clinics in Vancouver always begins with a personalized consultation. Together with your specialist, you will assess whether cryotherapy is the most appropriate option for you and discuss a realistic treatment plan, the expected results and the possible side effects. What to Expect During Your Session

Step 1
Personalized Assessment
During your consultation, our experts will evaluate your skin concerns to determine if cryotherapy is the right treatment for you.
Step 2
Take Pictures
Photographs will be taken before the procedure to document the starting condition and track your progress over time.
Step 3
Proceed with Treatment
Cryotherapy involves applying liquid nitrogen or a controlled freezing device to the affected area. The treatment takes only a few seconds per lesion, with a slight tingling or stinging sensation.
Step 4
Return to Normal Activities
Mild redness, swelling, or darkening of the treated area is common and typically resolves within one to two weeks as the skin heals and regenerates.

Follow-Up & Maintenance

Depending on the depth of the lesion, multiple sessions may be needed to achieve optimal results. Your provider will guide you on the best treatment plan based on your skin’s response.

  • have open wounds or active skin infections in the treatment area;
