Rosacea Treatments in Vancouver

Personalized Care for Redness and Flare-Ups

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that goes beyond occasional facial redness. It can cause sudden flushing, persistent redness, visible blood vessels, sensitivity and acne-like bumps. Rosacea cannot be cured, but with the right approach, its symptoms can be managed and flare-ups can become less frequent. At our Vancouver clinics, we look at how rosacea shows up on your skin and at the factors that may aggravate it. Whether your main concern is persistent redness or recurring inflammation, a physician or healthcare professional helps you understand your skin and explore options that support its long-term comfort and appearance.

Rosacea Can Take Different Forms

Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea (ETR)

This form, the most common one, mainly affects the small blood vessels of the face. In rosacea, the nerves that control these vessels overreact to ordinary triggers such as heat, sun, alcohol or stress, so the vessels widen too quickly and stay widened for too long. Over time, they can lose their ability to tighten back, and occasional flushing turns into persistent redness and visible capillaries, particularly on the cheeks and nose.

Papulopustular Rosacea

Often mistaken for acne, papulopustular rosacea causes inflamed bumps and pus-filled spots, usually along with facial redness or sensitivity. Unlike acne, it does not produce blackheads or whiteheads (comedones). Because inflammation drives these breakouts, treatment focuses on calming it rather than unclogging pores.

Phymatous Rosacea

Phymatous rosacea is a less common form in which the skin gradually thickens and develops an uneven surface, most often on the nose. It occurs more frequently in men. Because these changes build up over time, they call for a different approach than redness alone. Early stages may be managed with prescription treatment, while more advanced thickening may require resurfacing or surgical procedures.

Ocular Rosacea

Rosacea can also affect the eyes and eyelids, sometimes even when facial symptoms are mild. Common signs include dryness, irritation, redness and swollen eyelids. Depending on the symptoms, management may involve gentle eyelid hygiene, lubricating eye drops or prescription treatment. Persistent eye irritation should be assessed by a physician or healthcare professional.

Personalized treatments for you.

Bela MD Vancouver
BELA MD is a multi-step medical-grade skincare protocol available our clinics in Vancouver that combines diamond-tip microdermabrasion, hydrogen water infusion, electrical pulse stimulation and electroporation to cleanse, exfoliate and infuse the skin in a single session. Each step is designed to work together to address concerns such as dehydration, uneven tone, congestion, fine lines and dull texture. It is commonly performed on the face, neck and décolleté, and the protocol is tailored using targeted serum formulas selected for each patient's skin type and concerns.

Hydrafacial Vancouver
HydraFacial is a medical-grade skincare treatment offered at our clinics in Vancouver. It combines patented Vortex-Fusion technology with a HydroPeel tip designed to gently cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities and infuse targeted active ingredients into the skin in a single session.

Exosome Therapy Vancouver
Exosome therapy is a regenerative add-on offered at our clinics in Vancouver. It uses plant-based exosomes, tiny vesicles rich in peptides and growth factors, applied to the skin to support healing, calm inflammation and amplify recovery after compatible aesthetic treatments.

Intense Pulsed Light Vancouver
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a non-invasive light-based treatment offered at our clinics in Vancouver. It delivers controlled pulses of broad-spectrum light targeted at specific structures in the skin, such as melanin and superficial blood vessels, creating a controlled thermal effect while preserving the surrounding tissue.

Photorejuvenation Vancouver
Photorejuvenation is a non-invasive light-based treatment offered at our clinics in Vancouver. It uses pulses of intense light delivered at selected wavelengths to target colour contrasts in the skin, such as pigment spots and superficial vascular irregularities, with the goal of supporting a more even, refined complexion.

Vascular Lasers Vancouver
Vascular lasers are a category of non-invasive laser treatments offered at our clinics in Vancouver. They deliver targeted light energy at wavelengths preferentially absorbed by haemoglobin in the small visible vessels at the surface of the skin, gradually fading those vessels while preserving the surrounding tissue.

Vbeam Laser Vancouver
Vbeam is a non-invasive laser treatment offered at our Dermapure clinics in Vancouver. This pulsed dye laser uses targeted light energy to treat visible blood vessels and persistent skin redness. By directing controlled heat toward the blood vessels beneath the skin’s surface, Vbeam may help reduce vascular concerns and improve the appearance of uneven skin tone while minimizing the impact on surrounding tissue.

Custom Facial Vancouver
Available in Vancouver, the Custom Facial is a professional treatment for the face, neck and décolleté that adapts to your skin rather than following a fixed routine. Each session combines deep cleansing, exfoliation, masking and hydration, with every step chosen according to the skin’s condition that day. Targeted serums are then applied with a gua sha massage technique, which promotes local circulation.

Laser Genesis Vancouver
During the Laser Genesis procedure, the laser delivers precise heat to the dermis, the layer of skin just below the surface. This gentle heating stimulates the production of collagen, a key protein that helps maintain skin elasticity and firmness. The process also targets dilated capillaries, which can cause redness and uneven skin tone, helping to reduce these visible signs.

A Foundation for Rosacea-Prone Skin

Living in Vancouver means adapting your skincare to changing conditions throughout the year. Cool, windy weather and indoor heating can aggravate sensitive skin, and UV rays remain a concern even on cloudy days. For people with rosacea, daily broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, gentle cleansing and consistent moisturizing help limit avoidable irritation.

A simple routine is often better tolerated than one filled with active ingredients. Fragrance-free products, moisturizers containing ceramides (natural lipid molecules that seal the skin barrier) and, when well tolerated, ingredients such as niacinamide (a form of vitamin B3) can help support the skin barrier. Avoiding harsh exfoliation and keeping track of your personal triggers, for example in a flare-up journal, are also key parts of managing rosacea over time.
