Emsella Surrey

Pelvic muscle tone

Emsella is a non-invasive treatment available at Dermapure clinics in Surrey, that uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles. The patient remains fully clothed and seated on the Emsella chair throughout the session, while the device delivers thousands of supramaximal contractions to strengthen the pelvic floor. The treatment is used to address concerns related to pelvic floor weakness, including urinary incontinence, and a series of sessions is typically recommended.

Because every patient's condition, goals and medical history are different, Emsella at our Dermapure clinics in Surrey always begins with a personalized consultation with our team. During this consultation, your physician or healthcare professional will evaluate your pelvic floor concerns, discuss what a realistic treatment plan could look like, and review the expected number of sessions. What to Expect During Your Session

Step 1
Personalized Assessment
Everyone’s body is unique. The initial consultation evaluates your needs and goals to help us tailor a personalized treatment plan that delivers optimal results in a certain number of sessions.
Step 2
Proceed With Treatment
Throughout this non-invasive procedure, you will remain fully clothed while seated on the BTL Emsella chair. This treatment utilizes HIFEM energy to stimulate pelvic-floor muscle contractions and restore neuromuscular control.
Step 3
Return to Normal Activities
The non-invasive nature of this treatment means you can return to regular activities immediately. Follow-up sessions are typically required.

Follow-Up & Maintenance

Depending on your personalized treatment plan, a complete treatment of BTL Emsella may consist of up to 6 sessions, scheduled twice per week. Improvements appear gradually and optimal results are typically achieved after a few weeks to a few months.

Contraindications

Pregnant or breast-feeding women will have to postpone this type of treatment to a later date. Anyone with a pacemaker or other implanted medical device – including metal implants below the waist – may not use BTL Emsella.
