Corey Akisanya, NP

Corey Akisanya is a highly accomplished nurse practitioner in the field of aesthetic medicine. His passion for aesthetic medicine and commitment to education have taken him around the globe, where he presents and demonstrates live treatments at conferences, attends aesthetic medicine academies, and remains at the forefront of the industry.

Corey is the Regional Director and Clinical Trainer for THMA Consulting, a National Clinical Trainer for Galderma, Nurse Faculty for Allergan Medical Institute Canada, and a consultant for Merz Aesthetics Canada.

Before transitioning to aesthetic medicine, Corey had a rich professional history in pediatric nursing. He worked in both the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Pediatric Emergency Room (ER). He also served as a Nurse Practitioner in a Primary Care setting, providing comprehensive care to patients. Additionally, Corey contributed to nursing education as a clinical educator, teaching and mentoring at laboratory, clinical, and lecturing levels.

Born in Manitoba and now an Ottawa resident since 2012, Corey is a proud husband and community member. His expertise, personality, and teaching skills make him an excellent addition to the Dermapure Ottawa Downtown team.
