EMSculpt Edmonton

EMSculpt is a non-invasive body-shaping treatment offered at our Dermapure clinics in Edmonton. The technology uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy delivered through paddles applied to the body, inducing supramaximal muscle contractions that stimulate muscle growth and contribute to fat reduction in the treated area.

EMSculpt can be applied to muscles below the neck and is often used on the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, arms and calves to help build muscle tone, refine definition and support a more sculpted silhouette. A typical course includes around four sessions of approximately thirty minutes, and the treatment may be planned alongside complementary in-clinic options such as non-surgical fat reduction technologies or skin tightening approaches, depending on individual goals and body composition.

Because every patient’s body, goals and medical history are different, EMSculpt at our Dermapure clinics in Edmonton always begins with a personalized consultation. Together with your specialist, you will assess whether EMSculpt is the most appropriate option for you and discuss a realistic treatment plan, the expected results and the possible side effects. What to Expect During Your Session

Step 1
Personalized Assessment
Prior to your treatment, our medical team will review your health history and personal goals to create a personalized treatment plan.
Step 2
Take Pictures
We take photos to add to your patient profile to track the progress of your results.
Step 3
Begin Treatment
EMSculpt uses two paddles that emit HIFEM energy to penetrate your fat stores through non-invasive procedures. You may feel a pulling or pulsing sensation during treatment based on the intensity, which can be lowered if needed.

Follow-Up & Maintenance

A typical course of EMSculpt includes four sessions, repeated twice weekly for two weeks. You may require one maintenance treatment every three to six months to maintain results.

Contraindications

We do not perform EMSculpt treatments on patients who have heart disorders, medical implants, hernias, epilepsy, pulmonary insufficiency, hemorrhagic conditions, have recently had surgery, or have a malignant tumor.
