HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser Edmonton
The HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser is a fractional laser resurfacing treatment offered at our Dermapure clinics in Edmonton. The HALO platform combines a non-ablative wavelength (1470 nm) and an ablative wavelength (2940 nm) delivered to the same microscopic treatment zone in a single session, creating a synergistic effect that supports collagen production and skin renewal.
HALO can help address fine lines and wrinkles, uneven texture, pigmentation, sun damage, scarring and enlarged pores on the face, neck, chest, arms, hands and legs. The dual-wavelength combination is designed to balance visible improvement with shorter recovery than traditional ablative resurfacing, and the treatment may be received on its own or as part of a personalized plan that pairs it with complementary in-clinic options such as medical-grade skincare protocols, depending on individual goals and skin condition.
Because every patient’s skin, concerns and medical history are different, HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser at our Dermapure clinics in Edmonton always begins with a personalized consultation. Together with your specialist, you will assess whether HALO is the most appropriate option for you and discuss a realistic treatment plan, the expected results, the recovery and the possible side effects. Follow-Up & Maintenance
You can have one or two deeper treatments or have multiple treatments that are less aggressive and achieve a similar goal over a longer period of time. You will see initial results between day 2 and 5 after your Halo treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest improvement in the first 2 to 3 weeks.* For the first 24 hours, you should keep your skin protected according to post-treatment recommendations, but after that you can resume your normal activities. After the first 24 hours, your skin will begin to peel, but you willbe able to put on makeup. Prolong your results by keeping your healthy skin protected with sunscreen daily. *Individual results may vary.
Contraindications
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should delay this type of treatment, as well as anyone who has received Accutane treatment in the past 6 months. Patients who have been exposed to the sun without sun protection within 7 days before the treatment date will have to delay the treatment.
