The Opportunity!

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Website Strategy and SEO Specialist to take ownership of our web presence, lead our optimization efforts, ensure optimal performance and user experience, and drive organic traffic growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of website development and management, UI/UX principles, and search engine optimization (SEO) best practices. They should be adept at analyzing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, leading ongoing maintenance, implementing strategies to enhance search visibility and user engagement, and be committed to delivering high-quality results.

The Senior Website Strategy and SEO Specialist will play a crucial role in maximizing the effectiveness of our online presence, driving engagement, and achieving our business objectives.

A day in the life –

Responsibilities – Web Strategy:

Website Development & Optimization:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of our company website, including design updates, feature enhancements, and content management. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement new functionalities and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine visibility and drive organic traffic to the website. Optimize website performance, load times, and mobile responsiveness to enhance user experience and reduce bounce rates.

User Experience (UX) Design & Content Management:

  • Utilize UX design principles to create intuitive, user-friendly website interfaces that enhance usability and drive engagement. Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to optimize the user experience and improve conversion rates.
  • Manage website content, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia elements. Ensure that content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with brand guidelines. Develop content strategies to support marketing initiatives and achieve business objectives.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor website analytics and performance metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement. Generate regular reports and insights to stakeholders, highlighting trends, opportunities, and recommendations for optimization.

Responsibilities – SEO:

SEO Strategy Development & On-Page SEO:

  • Develop and implement strategic SEO initiatives to improve website visibility, rankings, and organic traffic. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align SEO efforts with broader business objectives and marketing initiatives.
  • Optimize website content, including page titles, meta descriptions, headings, and image alt text, to improve keyword relevancy and enhance search engine rankings. Ensure that content is aligned with SEO best practices and tailored to meet the needs of target audiences.

Keyword Research and Analysis, Technical SEO:

  • Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify relevant search terms, trends, and opportunities. Analyze keyword competitiveness, search volume, and user intent to inform content strategies and optimization tactics.
  • Identify and address technical issues that may impact website performance and search visibility, such as crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, and mobile responsiveness. Implement technical SEO solutions to enhance website accessibility and indexability.

Content Strategy and Optimization:

  • Develop and execute content strategies that align with SEO goals and target audience needs. Create high-quality, engaging content optimized for search engines and user experience, including blog posts, articles, landing pages, and multimedia assets.
  • Develop and execute link building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites and improve domain authority. Conduct outreach campaigns, guest blogging, and influencer collaborations to earn relevant and natural links.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Monitor SEO performance metrics, including keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversion rates, and backlink profiles. Generate regular reports and insights to track progress, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.

SEO Tool Management:

  • Manage and utilize SEO tools and software platforms to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and analyze data effectively. Stay updated on the latest SEO tools, algorithms, and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.

What you bring to our team –

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Design, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in website development, maintenance, optimization, SEO, with a proven track record of driving organic traffic growth.
  • Bilingual French and English
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO tools and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, or similar.
  • Technical skills an asset, including HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in SEO and digital marketing.
