    Treatment & technology

    Retouches au Halo

Halo, the world’s first hybrid fractional laser, is a revolutionary technology that improves the overall appearance of the skin. Restore your youthful glow and address numerous skin conditions such as wrinkles and fine lines, scarring, stretch marks, sun damage, texture, and enlarged pores.

Halo delivers tuneable non-ablative (1470nm) and ablative (2940nm) wavelengths to the same microscopic treatment zone to create a strong synergistic effect that maximizes results and reduces downtime.

By triggering the skin’s natural healing response, tone and texture are visibly improved and a more youthful glow is restored with the recovery speed and comfort that are the cornerstones of non-ablative fractional laser resurfacing.*

    Taking photographs

Taking a picture of your face before your Halo treatment allows you to better visualize the progress before/after the treatment.

Application of topical anesthetic for Halo treatment

A topical anesthetic is all most patients need to experience very little discomfort during the Halo treatment. This product is applied to the skin for about 1 hour prior to treatment.

    Cleansing and disinfecting the skin

Carefully removing all traces of gel, makeup and lipid film is an essential step before your Halo treatment. It is important to disinfect the skin with alcohol to create a suitable and sterile canvas before the procedure begins.

    Adequate eye protection

Protective eyewear may be required to provide adequate eye protection in the event of light emission. It is normal to see a few flashes of light throughout the treatment. Once well protected, your eyes are safe and have nothing to worry about.

Applying the applicator to the skin of the target area and discharging the energy onto the surface signals the beginning of the treatment. Your technician will treat a section of your face at a time by rolling the Halo hand piece in a crisscross pattern.

    Application of products

Your technician will recommend the appropriate post-treatment skincare to optimize your results. Patients can apply makeup within 24 hours of the procedure.

    Maintenance treatment

You can have one or two deeper treatments or have multiple treatments that are less aggressive and achieve a similar goal over a longer period of time.

You will see initial results between day 2 and 5 after your Halo treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest improvement in the first 2 to 3 weeks.*

For the first 24 hours, you should keep your skin protected according to post-treatment recommendations, but after that you can resume your normal activities. After the first 24 hours, your skin will begin to peel, but you willbe able to put on makeup.

Prolong your results by keeping your healthy skin protected with sunscreen daily.

    *Individual results may vary.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should delay this type of treatment, as well as anyone who has received Accutane treatment in the past 6 months.

Patients who have been exposed to the sun without sun protection within 7 days before the treatment date will have to delay the treatment.
