A dermapure physician treating a patient

At Dermapure Sainte-Foy, sclerotherapy is used to visibly reduce the appearance of spider veins and small varicose veins. This non-invasive procedure involves injecting a specialized solution directly into the affected veins, causing them to collapse and fade over time as they are naturally reabsorbed by the body. The result is a clearer skin appearance and improved leg comfort.

At Dermapure, our team of experienced physicians is dedicated to providing world-class care and expertise in aesthetic medicine. Focusing on enhancing natural beauty, we prioritize treatments that deliver subtle yet impactful results tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

While sclerotherapy can significantly improve varicose vein concerns, it’s important to note that outcomes can vary depending on the patient. All images shown are for reference only and do not guarantee specific results.

What to Expect

During your consultation, ultrasound is used to map the veins and discover the source of pressure causing the varicose veins. Often the source of the spider or varicose veins are too deep to see with the naked eye. This consultation stage allows for the development of a safe, accurate and effective treatment plan for lasting results. As with any medical consultation, current fees apply.

Before and after photos are an important step in the treatment process, as it allows for visualization of the evolution of your results over time.

Lasting 20 minutes, sclerotherapy treatment may give rise to a slight tingling or a feeling of heat during the session. This sensation disappears quickly after treatment. As the treatment involves injection into the veins, naturally some bruising should be anticipated. Bruising due to any cause on the legs generally resolves over 3 weeks, and patients should refrain from unprotected sun exposure until the bruises clear.
