Thread lift is a minimally invasive facial rejuvenation treatment that uses dissolvable threads to lift and tighten sagging skin while stimulating collagen production. This quick, in-clinic procedure redefines facial contours, improves skin laxity and enhances firmness, offering natural-looking results without surgery or significant downtime.
The threads are carefully inserted beneath the skin to reposition tissue and support the underlying structure. As the threads gradually dissolve, the body’s natural healing response increases collagen and elastin production, further improving tone, elasticity and overall skin quality over time. The result is a refreshed, lifted appearance that continues to evolve in the weeks following treatment.
Thread lift treatments are ideal for addressing common signs of aging such as mild to moderate sagging, loss of jawline definition, and marionette or smile lines. Because it works with the skin’s natural regenerative processes, this treatment provides both immediate lift and progressive improvement as collagen renews.

Before your treatment, your physician will review the consent forms with you and answer any questions that you have about the treatment.
Your physician will place the dissolvable threads and barbed sutures into the treatment area, which will take around 20 minutes. They will then pull the threads to lift the loose skin, revealing your newly tightened and rejuvenated appearance. Finally, your skin’s natural healing response will enhance collagen production, adding to your youthful glow. The entire procedure takes around 1 to 2 hours.

Results typically last 1 to 2 years. Follow-up treatments can be completed after 12 months, as needed.
We cannot offer this treatment to those who are pregnant or nursing, have acute or severe chronic skin diseases such as eczema or collagenosis (a connective tissue disease), have an active herpes infection, are permanently on blood-thinning medication, or have an allergy to biomaterials.
We also do not offer facial threading to those who have had an aggressive skin peeling procedure within the two weeks prior to treatment or who have had treatment with permanent fillers.
For a week before your treatment, avoid taking blood thinning medications or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen. Do not drink alcohol the night before your appointment.
