We apply a lidocaine-based gel to the treatment areas to make the injections more comfortable. While this is not always practiced at other clinics, we never skip this step at Dermapure to ensure the most enjoyable experience.

No downtime is expected, making it possible to return to your routine activities immediately after treatment. Localized redness, bruising, and swelling may occur temporarily.
The price of neuromodulators is priced per unit and not per syringe, as is the case with dermal fillers. The actual number of units required varies depending on the treatment area.
To maintain results, we recommend that you repeat the procedure every 3 to 6 months. With regular treatments, the frequency and amount of product needed diminish over time. Touch-ups may be required following the procedure.
Women who are pregnant or nursing should postpone this procedure. Individuals with certain neuromuscular disorders should not use this type of injectable.
We recommend that you avoid aspirin or any other medications containing aspirin one week prior to your scheduled treatment.

Neuromodulators temporarily relax facial muscles that are responsible for creating dynamic fine lines and wrinkles. The muscle relaxes and the communication between the nerve and the muscle is blocked, limiting the contraction. The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles gradually fades resulting in a more youthful look.
Due to Health Canada regulations, we cannot state the names of the neuromodulators we use at Dermapure.
Depending on the area(s) being treated, the appointment time is quick, lasting 15 to 30 minutes. A consultation must be planned prior to the first treatment at Dermapure.
Neuromodulator injections are safe if the treatment is performed by one of our experienced medical experts with extensive knowledge of facial anatomy. Results are temporary in nature.
We take patient comfort seriously at Dermapure. Most patients consider this treatment painless, as we use the smallest needle size available for maximum comfort. The sensation is comparable to a really light pinch and will last only a fraction of a second. We pre-ice the treatment area and we have a variety of ‘distraction devices’ available to you.
Most patients begin to notice results within 3 to 5 days following the treatment*. Maximum results may be noticed within 14 days following the treatment.

Multiple factors can impact the results including age, facial symmetry, history of previous treatment(s), lifestyle, sun exposure and diet.
Most patients return to their regular activities immediately following treatment, although it is possible to experience temporary redness, bruising or minor swelling of the treated area in the 24 to 48 hours following the treatment. Intense physical activity should be avoided.

The product can absorb up to ten thousand times it’s weight in water, like a real sponge! Dermal fillers are recommended to rehydrate and balance dermal volume and are ideal to plump lips, fill deep wrinkles or other areas where volume loss is noticed.
Neuromodulators temporarily relax specific muscles by blocking nerve impulses. Dynamic wrinkles and lines that appear as a result of these muscles contracting will gradually fade. Neuromodulators do not restore lost volume or fill deep wrinkles. Therefore, you can combine neuromodulators with dermal fillers to complement your results.
