Sculptra is made with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible ingredient that works deep within the skin to gradually restore volume, improve firmness and soften visible signs of aging. Unlike traditional fillers, which provide immediate volume, Sculptra stimulates the skin’s natural ability to rebuild itself — leading to progressive, lasting improvement in tone, texture and structure.
This treatment is especially beneficial for addressing facial hollowing, sagging skin, and general loss of elasticity. Most patients begin to notice subtle improvements a few weeks after treatment, with results that continue to evolve over several months.

A topical anesthetic with lidocaine is applied to reduce discomfort. This step is key for injectable treatments like Sculptra, which are placed in the deeper layers of the skin.
Your physician injects poly-L-lactic acid using precise techniques to stimulate natural collagen production. Sessions last 30–60 minutes, depending on the area treated.

To maintain results, we recommend repeating the procedure every 3 to 4 months at the beginning. Once optimal collagen stimulation is achieved, maintenance treatments are typically done every 2 years.

Sculptra is a safe and effective cosmetic treatment, but it’s not suitable for everyone. It should be avoided by individuals with allergies to poly-L-lactic acid, a history of hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation, or active skin infections. The procedure is also not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
