PicoSure laser treatments offer a gentle yet effective way to improve the appearance of skin affected by pigment irregularities, such as sun damage, brown spots, and freckles, as well as fine lines and acne scars. Using rapid pulses of energy, this non-invasive approach helps refresh the skin without the heat-related discomfort of traditional lasers.
Unlike technologies that rely on thermal energy, PicoSure delivers ultra-short bursts of light that target unwanted pigmentation and stimulate collagen production. Over time, this can help the skin appear clearer, smoother, and more even in tone, with fewer sessions and minimal recovery.

Taking a picture of your face before your PicoSure treatment allows you to better visualize the progress before/after the treatment.
Most patients find the procedure tolerable and require no numbing cream or anesthesia. An optional topical anesthetic can be applied to the skin about 30 minutes prior to treatment by request.
Carefully removing all traces of gel, makeup and lipid film is an essential step before your PicoSure treatment. It is important to disinfect the skin with alcohol to create a suitable and sterile canvas before the procedure begins.
Protective eyewear may be required to provide adequate eye protection in the event of light emission. It is normal to see a few flashes of light throughout the treatment. Once well protected, your eyes are safe and have nothing to worry about.
Applying the applicator to the skin of the target area and discharging the energy onto the surface signals the beginning of the treatment. Your provider will treat a section of your face at a time by moving the hand piece to different sections of the target area.
Your expert will recommend the appropriate post-treatment skincare to optimize your results. Patients can apply makeup within 24 hours of the procedure.

To improve the look of your skin and achieve a more youthful appearance by removing pigmented lesions will require only a few treatments. Darker, deeper and larger pigmented lesions may require additional treatments; however during the consultation, your provider will discuss treatment expectations with you.
You will see initial results between day 7 and 10 after your PicoSure treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest improvement in the first 4 to 6 weeks.*
For the first 24 hours, you should keep your skin protected according to post-treatment recommendations, but after that you can resume your normal activities. After the first 24 hours, you will be able to put on makeup.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should delay this type of treatment, as well as anyone who has received Accutane treatment in the past 6 months.
Patients who have been exposed to the sun, booth tanning, have used self-tanning products or are taking photo-sensitizing medication will have to delay the treatment.
