Rejuvenating injections

Method for filling wrinkles

Filling wrinkles lets you redraw the oval of the face and correct sagging and – especially – the volume loss that appears over time on several areas of the face. Don’t immediately think of the oft-publicized failed touch-ups of cosmetic surgery, or of the pain of these treatments and their exorbitant costs! Taking 5 to 10 years off the look of your skin quickly and without surgery is now possible thanks to volumizing injections of hyaluronic acid. Here are all the details about this procedure.

Volume loss in the face
The face widens with age, in particular due to the natural loss of fat and collagen. We therefore notice an overall slumping of the skin and the appearance of sometimes very deep expression lines and hollows. Once they occur, these changes will unfortunately only intensify over time.
To diminish the signs of aging, giving volume back to the face emerges as an obvious solution. Filling wrinkles using hyaluronic acid injections is the safest and most advantageous solution developed to date: effective, painless, and without significant recovery time, these days, it’s one of the most requested non-invasive treatments in North America, especially at Dermapure.

The main indications:

  • dark circles under the eyes
  • cheeks
  • wrinkles in the corners of the mouth
  • nasolabial folds
  • cheekbones
  • lips
  • jaw
  • temples
  • peribuccal wrinkles

Why hyaluronic acid?
The skin cells produce hyaluronic acid to maintain hydration and volume in the cutaneous layers. This substance has serious water retention powers and acts like a sponge, absorbing more than a thousand times its weight.
Unfortunately, cellular aging and exposure to UV rays reduces the ability of our cells to produce it. By developing filling products from this natural sugar derivative, it’s possible to treat the problems caused by volume loss. The volumizing injection doesn’t involve any intrusion by a foreign object, thus eliminating the risks of rejections and allergies.
Since hyaluronic acid gets reabsorbed over time, it will be necessary to repeat the procedure every 10 to 12 months, depending on the targeted area and the type of product injected. However, the frequency and quantity of volumizers will be reduced as the touch-ups progress.

Our philosophy is offering natural and visible results.
The filling product as well as the quantity administered are chosen by the injecting doctor based on your skin type and the area to be treated; the important thing, of course, is to make sure that natural results are achieved. A session lasts between 30 and 90 minutes and the rejuvenating effect can be observed immediately. A single hour of treatment for visible results all year long: that’s definitely worth it!

A practically painless procedure
Are you afraid of needles? Don’t worry: a surface anaesthetic in the form of a lidocaine-based cream is applied beforehand to desensitize the area to be treated. You won’t feel any pain! If you’d like, you’re also invited to follow the procedure using a mirror. Aside from a bit of redness, localized swelling, and a risk of bruising, the aftereffects are minimal and the treatment is very safe. You’ll be able to return to your normal activities very quickly.

Discover “Soft Lift”
It’s possible to produce a tightening effect similar to surgery working only with volumizers. This approach should be discussed with the injecting doctor and can be an excellent alternative for avoiding the consequences of a serious procedure. The technique demands a great deal of expertise and requires a higher quantity of the product (from 6 to 12 syringes of hyaluronic acid) to restructure the face and treat its overall volume loss. A combination of volumizers and neuromodulators often complements the Soft Lift.
