An adapted skin care routine, including the daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF value of 50 or higher, is therefore essential to its health. In addition to having an impact on the overall health of your skin, the regular use of these products also contributes to the effectiveness of your clinic treatments.
By adopting healthy habits
It is said that the skin is a window to our inner self and this makes sense! Who hasn’t noticed changes in the appearance of their skin after excessive consumption of rich foods and alcohol or a few short nights of sleep? It has been proven that the quality of our lifestyle and of our skin are closely linked. It is therefore generally recommended to eat a diet low in sugar, fat and salt and rich in antioxidants, omega-3 and 6 and vitamins A, C and E. Avoiding sources of stress and getting a good night’s sleep are also essential.

To reach your goals, you need a game plan! Making an appointment for a free consultation is the first step towards healthy skin. Just as your trainer at the gym recommends exercises to shape or tone certain areas of your body, your Dermapure consultant will do the same for your skin. You will leave with a detailed treatment plan indicating which treatments you should receive and in which order. This initial plan will obviously be modified along the way according to your needs and the results obtained.

As in all things, to obtain results and to maintain them, a dose of discipline is necessary! Whether it’s the consistency of your home care routine, the quality of your lifestyle or the frequency and follow-up of your treatments at the clinic, all your actions work in synergy to ensure that your skin radiates health.
WHY SHOULD WE COMBINE TREATMENTS?
You do yoga to improve your flexibility, you run to work on your cardio, and you swim to gently build muscle. Each sport is good for you and combining them is what helps you reach your fitness goals. Plus, by combining them, you’re working on different goals of course, but each activity has also an impact on the other. A good cardio will allow you to swim longer and toned muscles will make it easier to practice yoga for example. The principle is very similar for the Skin Gym. To achieve certain goals, sometimes more than one treatment is needed and the order in which you do them has a real impact on the results.
One thing is certain, just as it is recommended to exercise 3x a week to maintain good physical health, training your skin also requires regular maintenance. A facial, a glycolic peel or a BELA MD, for instance, are perfect treatments to schedule on a regular basis (at least every change of season) and are an excellent foundation for maintaining the health of your skin.
